06 –  “I’m Pregnant”


The whole procedure went fine. Luckily there was only a waiting list of a week and absolutely nothing went wrong.

Ianto had waited in the waiting room with Gwen and Owen while the whole thing was in process. He was going to be a father and he couldn’t believe it.

Jack and Tosh were released a little while later. Signing numerous documents and things took up most of the time but it was done and now they could go back to the hub.

Jack and Ianto spent the day fussing over Toshiko which included checking that she was comfortable, that she knew what she was allowed and not allowed to eat and that she was feeling ok.

“God im not going to be able to stand nine months of you two asking me if im ok every three seconds” she sighed sitting down on the sofa.
“Sorry, were just excited” Ianto grinned sitting down next to her.
“How long do we have to wait until we can find out?” Jack asked.
“Im guessing 24 hours she said”
Ianto took her hand and kissed her on the cheek. “Thankyou Tosh… you don’t know what this means to us”
She smiled and put her hand to his face. “By the size of that smile, I think I do.”

Suddenly Gwen burst through the cog door with Owen carrying numerous bags behind her. “Tosh”
“Mmm?” she looked up.
“Pregnancy test”
“Thanks Gwen but I do need to wait 24 hours.”
Gwen tried to get her breath back. “Oh… well… what is it Jack always says… you gotta be ready?” she grinned.

* 10 am – the next morning*

“ I can’t pee with you lot hovering around the door like bats.” Tosh called angrily from inside the cubicle. “Go away!”
“But were nervous Tosh!” Jack called.
“Just go and wait in the main part of the hub and I’ll be down in a minute!”
“Ok… we’re going” Jack ushered the rest of the team back to the main part of the hub and sat down on the sofa nervously fiddling with his wrist strap. Ianto noticed and took his hand.

Tosh arrived a few minutes later with no emotion on her face. – How did she do that?
The rest of the team looked up at her not daring to speak.

“I’m pregnant” she squealed which turned into a scream as her happy team mates launched them selves at her in the form of a giant collective hug.
